What The Club Says
The Old Nene Golf Club is a 9 hole Pay and Play golf course with 18 tees based just 1 mile North of Ramsey Town Centre. The Club also has a 12 bay floodlit driving range, a practice putting green, a fitness suite and a fishing lake. The golf course won a Eastern Region Environmental award when it opened in 1992.
At 5393 yards off the yellow tees, it is one of the shorter in the county but makes up for the lack of yards by the use of natural water and tree features.

Nice round
I played a round today 4/2/2026. I usually play at Thorpe Wood and Orton Meadows in Peterborough but thought i would try a more local course. I played this course 20 odd years ago and its layout is a lot different as was the clubhouse. Consdiering the time of the year and the wet weather we have had recently the course was in good condition. There were areas of general wear and tear but this is to be expected. The fairways were long in places but cutting them with heavy machinary in the current wet weather would probably do more harm than good. The greens were good, a few bumps but generally well looked after. I would probably say that the greens are in a better condition than both Thorpe Wood and Orton Meadows. The bunkers looked well looked and contained a good level of sand, something that is again better than the courses mentioned earlier. The course is a good mixture of tricky holes and the usual holes that every course has. Lots of well placed bunkers and water. I put 1 ball into the water on the 1st and again on the 10th which is the same hole give or take a few yards. I should have learnt the first time.Reviewer Rating

Lovely little course
Some lovely holes but could do with more sign posting for visitors, as I had to ask other golfers which way to go. Overall, very nice and would happily play again here.Reviewer Rating
