The Old Golf Course, is officially recognised by Guinness World Records as the “oldest golf course in the world”.
Visitors from all over the world have come and played on this historic course and so can you! Open to the public all year round, you can experience a piece of golfing history and for a truly unique experience you can hire hickory clubs and play the course as it was in its heyday!

Classic links going slightly to seed
Worth playing due to the history & the quirkiness of being enclosed by the racecourse.Classic links layout. Greens aren't great, but generally run OK.
Limited facilities (e.g. vending machines).
A proper friendly welcome from the starter, though, and one genuinely stunning view from the 6th tee, with the course & racecourse laid out in front of you and framed by Arthur's Seat in the distance.

Lovely old course
Nice well kept course. Very friendly staff and members. The course isn't very long but some of the fairways are quite narrow which means accuracy is important. Not the prettiest of courses but well worth a round and excellent value for money.(Round played: Aug 2021 - Score: 86 Handicap: 0)

Once in my life
Good job I chose this course to play. It was only 9holes but enjoyable and quite tricky few holes are there like 1st hole! 240 yards par 3.(Round played: Jul 2018 - Score: 71 Handicap: 8.2)
