Roughs liked to hide our balls, greens suffered from last weeks hot weather. But what a challenge for us as one year beginners. Okay we lost a dozen of balls but the views and very friendly clubmembers made this golfday to stay in our memories. Great!!!!

What a challenge!

Absolute test of anyone's game
Great test uphill followed by free flowing downward holes coming home.
We will certainly be back!

A very interesting course to play, and it improves as the season goes on! Being on common ground the flock of spectators (sheep) do not cause too much of a problem, but you'll need to clean and drop from dung maybe more than once a round. A good course, and test of anyone's game. Worth taking plenty of balls around, as the rough is like a magnet to them. Will be back there again soon, and it's a plus they accept 2fore1 vouchers

Some incredible views, and a layout that blends in really well with the landscape. A great alternative to the modern parkland courses that get churned out. Don't expect the best manicured course, but expect to be taken back in history like you're playing the very first golf course ever built.

The course could do with some work, but it is a challenge especially the days I go as it is on a hill & partial to strong wind and rain. played 2 rounds & had differing results. The club house was not open on my visits so can't comment. My green fee was left in an honesty box. I liked the course because my partner & I were the only ones on the course

This is a very hard and demanding 69 par course on a mountainside. Its a long 18 hole course with deep ferns and deep rough grass along every inch of its fairways.
Along with the herds of sheep grazing on its fairways, the course becomes harder.
however the upshot of this course once you get used to losing golf balls is the extra friendly groundstaff and course members. fantastic greens.
plus £10,00 will get you all day play time.
and nine times out of ten you will have the fairways to yourself.
and beautiful views of the breacon mountains and pen y fan from the 6th hole.
