This is a perfect golf society venue if you have mixed-ability players. The better ones will be challenged by its style and be tempted to take it on as there are areas that encourage exactly that mindset.

Great welcome at a hidden gem

Played immediately after a competition. We were welcomed by everyone, pointed in the right direction for yellow and red tee boxes. Course is interesting with nice true greens. A couple of blind tee shots, plenty of elevation changes as you’d hope for from a Braid course. Despite previous heavy rain still a pleasure to play. Some great views from several tee boxes and fairways. Nice classic clubhouse with a great atmosphere.

Welcoming

Played today having booked for £20 each via Golfnow. Found out we were in the middle of a club competition (Visitor plus guest) so delayed our tee time to let them all
get out. Very friendly welcome from many members on and off the course including the captain. Despite the wet weather recently the course was in good condition. The greens were slightly slow but true and it was a pleasure to play somewhere where the members and guests repaired all pitch marks and raked their bunkers. Course was a good challenge and had some lovely views. We will definitely be back next time we’re visiting the area.

A challenging course

The course affords great views of the surrounding valleys. Lovely course with great greens fairways holding water from torrential rain the day before but did not spoil the round. Great par three 6th hole with penal bunkers also loved the 12th blind tee shot to a fairway running at right angles to the tee.
