What The Club Says

Kintore Golf Club, situated in the Royal Burgh of Kintore, was formed in 1911 playing over a 9 hole layout to the north of the River Don. Course View In the early 1990s the course was extended to 18 holes and now covers a large area of ground from the Don basin, overlooked by the clubhouse, to mature woodland at the far perimeter, giving an interesting contrast between the ‘old and new nines’.

Hill and Challenging

First time I've played here in many years and I'd forgotten a lot about the course layout. It's a parkland course in the Aberdeenshire countryside and we had discount vouchers for our four ball. It was raining when we teed off and had the course more or less to ourselves, so pace of play was not an issue. There is a steep climb to the second green and the last four holes are up and down the same hill but rest of the course is fairly flat but buggies are available for hire.
The course was a bit wet due to the rain we've had lately but there wasn't too much lying water and fairways and greens all in excellent condition. The first nine feels longer and harder than the back nine but even though we are higher handicappers the course was not overly challenging. Great day out just north of Aberdeen.
