What the club says: The meadowland course at Hobson Golf Club tests all aspects of your game and requires a full range of shots from the golfer. Whilst measuring a large 6403 yards from the tee on the first to the pin on the last and lying higher above sea level than other courses in the area, it is quite a flat course and therefore quite forgiving on the legs.

Better than expected

Lovely Course
A ourse that lets the terrain do the talking and it was a true test of golf. A lovely range of holes and the greens were very true. So cheap to play and one I would suggest only gets better in the summer months.Reviewer Rating

Unexpectedly good!
With a green fee of £30 per fourball my expectations for this course were not particularly high. How wrong can you be…What I found was a course in excellent condition, particularly the greens, with some very good and varied holes and not a bad hole in the 18. With an excellent practice green, a driving range and pro shop this course provides everything you need, the only slight negative was I thought that the food in the clubhouse was rather uninspiring and slightly overpriced, but do not let that stop you visiting The Hobson for some good quality golf at a ridiculously low price.

Well-maintained parkland course. Greens and fairways in great condition. Plenty of space on many holes so fairly forgiving, although enough hazards, ditches and bunkers to make it interesting. First nine is longer than the second. We played on a Wednesday afternoon/early eve and there was hardly anybody about. Only £12 good value.

very hot day
