What The Club Says
Golf was first played at Hinckley in 1894 on the original 9-hole Burbage Common course. The current 18-hole course was opened in 1984 and is one of the oldest in the entire region.
Hinckley Golf Club blankets the rolling Leicestershire countryside, offering variety in difficulty, hazards and terrain on every hole. Our many water hazards are a particular highlight, and our greens team work hard throughout the year to make sure these breath-taking features are continually looking their best.
Once you have completed your round, the Nineteenth bar & lounge is where you can relax in comfort and enjoy spectacular views. Our clubhouse doesn't just serve as a hub for golf enthusiasts but is open to non-members and their families whether it is to watch sporting events on our widescreen TV or joining us on the terrace for a bite to eat and drink from the well stocked bar.

A beautiful golf course with lovely tests
What are gem of a golf course. I have played it 3 times now and each time as an 18 handicapper I've loved it and tried to improve my scores. From the opening 1st hole out of bounds left, hilly doglegged 2nd, short par 3, down the hill to the water - fourth to the final 18th there's been scores and missed chances with agony. Anyway away from the course - a nice friendly place with a lovely club house and the refreshments are good . Staff are friendly and helpful. Enjoy the golf.Reviewer Rating

What A beautiful picturesque course
What A beautiful picturesque course and in superb condition too. A lovely parkland setting in glorious surroundings. Excellent clubhouse and facilities. Very friendly and welcoming staff. A good size shop stocked with decent items at reasonable prices. Catering was very tasty especially the sausage crusty cobs. Playing time was good, pace of play good, a fair test and tricky fast greens made the whole day very enjoyable. Some long par 4's and plenty of water to keep you thinking. Simply loved it.Reviewer Rating

Pure and varied golf course
A well kept golf course with a good mixture of holes which tests all levels of skill. Warm up area - nets and chipping greens to the left of the car park -useful. Pro shop is well stocked and friendly. Hole 1 par 4 - OB and trees to the right and a bunker to catch the long hitter, a nice chip and 2 putts. Hole 2 downhill into a dog leg left hill shot next and tricky par 4. Hole 3 a shortish par 3. Hole 4 a downhill par 5 dogleg left across water and then over a pond to the green. Hole 5 miss the water and trees left to land your shot on the fairway for a nice approach shot to the green. Hole 6 straight forward but tricky tee shot- bunker on the fairway leading to an up hill green. See what i mean... I love the course and got a 2nd go at it as I visited twice and had a better round 2nd time around as I knew what to expect. what a great long par 3 212 yard to finish, nice hole. The club house was friendly and had warm, had helpful staff good food and refreshments on both of my visits. There's a great balcony on a sunny day.Reviewer Rating

GREAT LOCAL COURSE
Given the vast amounts of rain recently the course and in particular the greens were in superb condition.Presently the course is playing off tee mats so is slightly shorter in distance but, nonetheless presents an enjoyable challenge. Shots into greens present decent challenges whilst protection is given mainly by trees. The rough here is very forgiving so errant shots are only punished by trees being in the way rather than long unforgiving grass which is not present. Would recommend to all golfing handicaps.

Friendly ducks
I went as a guest of a member, so the green fees were reasonable. One of the friendliest pros I've come across while I waited for my friend to arrive. As a foursome, we tee?d off after their roll up comp, so I was expecting a slow round (3.5 hrs in total) so that was an added bonus. The greens and tee boxes were in top notch condition (greens maintenance next week)Apparently it's customary to stop at the halfway house (when open) which once you've tee?d off the duck around the pond come and mavel at your shot, or maybe just to grab some food. I personally found the back 9 an easier challenge, apart from the 18th(maybe too hilly)
