Very Good Value For Money
At ?25 on a Saturday morning, this is a good value for money course. Due to the recent heatwaves, the fairways resembled a welcome mat, but the summer run was helpful. Quite a few fun holes, such as the first, a par 3 which proved harder than it looked off the tee.As with everything, you get what you pay for, so although the general course was in good condition, the greens left a bit to be desired. Without wishing to be churlish, a little more greenkeeping work would have made putting less of a premium. It meant many of the short shots not quite going as far as they otherwise might have.
A nice clubhouse, with comfortable outside seating area providing tasty 'Bombay Chow' and plenty of choice on the bar was a welcome end to the round.

Above standard public course
A pretty decent public course with some varied holes & elevated tees. Invariably plenty of songs of not yet recovering from winter with some patchy divot ridden fairways & patchy, bare & bobbly greens but overall still a worthwhile experience. Suits those who can drive straight or draw the ball with the F9 having plenty of left to right camber into adjacent stream or bushes. Tough. And to add a great Indian food restaurant in the 19th. I will be back.Reviewer Rating

Marsh land
Sorry to say because I really like Haste Hill, but it's just too wet and the grounds people cannot cut the grass in the fairways, so everywhere is really long and no fun to play. Hopefully with dryer weather it will be back to the great course it can be, but I will not play there for another month.Reviewer Rating

Great to go back after such a long time. Given the dry summer it was still fun. Greens were excellent, with the well watered false fronts a very welcome addition. Going back this weekReviewer Rating

Cute short course
An interesting short course (par 68), good variety of challenges. Greens need a bit of tlc and tee boxes were a little ropey but for £15, it’s great value.(Round played: Sep 2021 - Score: 93 Handicap: 19)

A good public course for accurate players!
This the second time I have played at Haste Hill GC. As others have written, the clubhouse has been closed for ages but the course has a rural feel and is a good challenge for fit and competent golfers; it is hilly and you will need to be an accurate player rather than a big hitter, otherwise you will be in all sorts of trouble and end up having to let others through. The tee boxes are still not present, signage is good, fairways have been cut and the greens have been scarified recently. Haste Hill GC is a lot better than than some other public or private courses I have played at and for the money I doubt it can be beaten. The groundstaff were considerate, by either cutting their engine or making sure they weren't in range of a shot, in the same way that they are at private members clubs. The golfers who played thoroughly enjoyed the course and we will return, hopefully to a functional clubhouse.Reviewer Rating

Challenging course.
I play here every week and it is good value for money. The pace of play is very good and the condition of the course is good. The only negative is the club house hasn't been open for the best part of two years.3Reviewer Rating

Lovely Course
This is an excellent course with excellent greens but the absence of anywhere to get a drink in very hot weather is not good. Most courses do this now even allowing for Covid it is not in my accept able to have no water.Reviewer Rating
