Great course in terrible condition
We paid £30 each for a tee time this weekend and we were incredibly surprised to see how poor the course condition was. Tee boxes were either completely bare or hadn't been cut. (I've never had a flyer off a tee box before so that was fun.) The greens were incredibly patchy and bobbling all over the place. Bunkers were essentially empty and plenty of them had lots of plant growth. It's a shame because the course layout itself is great and the clubhouse is much improved. The new practice nets are good and the starter was a nice touch, but when the course is playing that poorly, it's very hard to justify playing here again anytime soon.Reviewer Rating

Disappointing at the price!!
I don't like to give bad reviews but this course was awful. Tee boxes were almost bald and it was like teeing off a dust bowl or a tufty overgrown uneven mound for the most part and also several tees were off matsReviewer Rating

Much improved
Last time we played here was 12 month ago. So playing here on Friday was a pleasant surprise. Can see a lot of time and effort has been put in to try and get the course up to its former glory. Still a little work to do ( extra sand in bunkers,2nd cut on fairways maybe just a touch lower, and a little more water on the greens). Well done to all staff concerned with resurrecting " The Grange". You are heading in the right direction but Rome wasn't built in a day!!. Hopefully the next time we play here (which we will) the course will be even more improved. Nice touch in the 19th hole with the large TV and outdoor seating area...... well done "The Grange "Reviewer Rating

Excellent potential
Great layout and some really good holes. With a little bit of money spending on the up keep could be a hidden gem.Reviewer Rating

The Grange
New ownership the last couple of years and both on and off the course, things are continuously improving. Very friendly staff, great greens team and the course year on year has been improving. Good course, some tricky holes and others more open. The clubhouse is pretty well priced too, I\'m the summer screens outside for sports and often have monthly parties/events on. Great value overallReviewer Rating

First time playing, seems on the way up
The layout is great. Particularly on the back 9, you'll get some lovely views. The condition was good but by all accounts that is improving. I am going to return for sure. Deserves a higher rating.Reviewer Rating

Getting there
I do like this course ( score says otherwise??). Not boring a challenging!!. Was going downhill a few years ago,but luckily the running of the course is in somebody else's hands. But still a long way to go to get it to the next level. Greens and fairways have much improved since we last went ( couple of years ago) bunkers need attending to,also the first cut and around the greens need some trimming .fully understand that it will take time to get to the high standard a course like this should be. But definitely can see signs of improvement, so we'll done to all parties concernedReviewer Rating
