What The Club Says

This 18 hole parkland course is 3 miles from Leeds city centre. The hilly course with narrow fairways offers a challenging test, requiring accuracy rather than length from the tee.

Testing & good value for money

Played here for years , short but testing course , biggest issue is avoiding the local winos sat in or around the bunkers

Tough for High H'Cap's

If you can't hit your Tee shots it's a tough slog , very very hilly to the point it's hard to keep your trolley staying still , the 3rd and the 5th are like climbing Everest , even the first Par 3 is up hill as is the Par 3 16th and 18th , very challenging if your a high handicapper but still enjoyable nonetheless , been a Municipal course a few holes had lost the flag and the flag post on one hole , one suggestion would be to remove some of the bunkers on the tough holes , for e.g. the 10th I believe is so hard to get to the green in two as your T shot has to travel uphill about 200 yds just to get past the tree line and then you face a small green with bunkers , if you don't hit the Drive 200yds then you have to either go over the top of huge trees or try to go through them which is where most people will attempt , take the bunkers away and it gives you a chance , it did make me realise at what level my game is currently at.

Its part of the charm of Gotts Park that you get to play golf in stunning park surroundings whilst being in the heart of the city. The course is a good challenge for the average golfer but should not be taken lightly. If you've not played for a while you may not be ready for this course yet but that doesnt mean you shouldnt give it a go, just watch out for the hill on the 5th!!!!

A little hidden gem

We paid £5 - less than a bucket of balls in some places, great views but when the course is exceptionally dry as it was today it can be tough

Good to be back playing golf
Because the coarse is next to a park people was still using it as a picnic area
the club needs to sort that out
