What the club says: Gleddoch Golf Club overlooks the Clyde Estuary and the beautiful Kilpatrick Hills, making it one of the most scenic layouts in this part of Scotland. It was designed in the early 70's by Hamilton Stutt and provides a challenging round for all golfers. The course is slightly undulating, which makes placement off the tee essential if you want a clear sight of the flag.
A multi-million pound refurbishment of all the facilities at Gleddoch has included lots of upgrades on the course creating an even better playing experience for visitors.

Tidy Course

Fantastic improvement
Gleddoch has massively improved thanks to all the maintenance work taken place over the winter , greens are now the on par with the likes of killermont and pollock, absolutely fantastic, 16 bay driving range is soon to be ready for use and the fairways are immaculate. Different course
What a difference some investment and hard work does.Have played the course over the years and to be honest it has left a lot to be desired. Under new management from last year and it appears some money has been put into the course. Greens looking great for this time of year. Have played a few times now over winter and in varying conditions and been very impressed. Problems with drainage on the whole seem to have improved drastically.

Assault not golf course
Gleddoch is a good layout but a little hilly. A lot of work going on with drainage excavation so hopefully this will improve the winter playing conditions.Bit disappointed that all the greens were off and the temp greens were poorly prepared not worth putting on.
Club house hotel was very nice upgraded to a very high standard from previous visits.
Will maybe give course another try during the summer months.

Water logged every where
I have played this course a number of times and have had really good days outThis time we played every green was water logged every fairway had standing water
We were playing using our Free Bunkered Vouchers
In truth this course should never have been open this was the worst round of golf I have ever played

nice course conditions terrible
amazing layout, good test for all levels, wonderful views. Course waterlogged this is my second time playing here played last November expected course not to be at its best, but on a dry day course was terrible. Hired a buggy this time but it got bogged down around the last green and the course starter decided to leave it stuck till tomorrow when the green keepers could free it. A nice course with fantastic views on a nice day. A lot of bunkers were GUR when we visited today and some of the greens were not at their best. You could really score a low round on this course.

The course is in terrible condition. The ground between the 1st tee and fairway is all dug up which looks awful. Large areas of fairways are bare with betty little grass. You're just hitting off mud. There are numerous fairways that are dug up and more bunkers are gur than are active. Very disappointing

Course was using temporary greens and tee's there was also drainage and bunker work being carried out so course was not at its best.

Had a great day at gleddoch golf course.with a little TLC this course could be fantastic. Bunkers weren\'t up to scratch, greens were very sandy but playing in the winter this wasn\'t much of an issue.lovely views over estuary

A nice wee course which has unfortunately been poorly cared for. Condition of the Tees was poor, rough is too unforgiving and some of the bunkers are a disaster! They look as though they haven't been tended to by the greens staff for months. Too many areas are a boggy mess.

A okay course although the greens weren't at their best. The par info on scorecard did not correspond with what was on the tee box or my golf gps watch! Scorecard would say it was a par 5, tee box info would say it was a par 4 as did my watch!

This course is an absolute disgrace. We normally play municipal courses in South Lanarkshire which are a thousand times better. The greens at Gleddoch are a joke. Around the greens a bigger joke. The fairways are horrendous. Do not play this stuck up sorry excuse for a golf course unless you are playing for nothing. Facilities? It's a building site much like the course

We played this round on a groupon deal with lunch which was excellent value for money. However the course played extremely slow, taking 5 hrs for a round that shouldn't have taken any more than 3.5. The course itself was in parts poor condition ie bunkers with little sand and weeds, paths between holes very untidy and tired etc, damaged fairways and generally untidy. Having said that the greens were generally in very good condition and very good putting surfaces. Overall I would have been disappointed paying full price for a visiting round but given our deal it wasn't too bad.
