What The Club Says
Designed by James Braid, 5 times Open winner and member of the "World Golf Hall of Fame", and opened in 1933, this eighteen hole, par 70 course is just over 6,000 yards in length and presents a challenge to golfers of all standards.
The River Cole, three lakes and mature trees feature throughout the course. Particular favourites are the 12th hole where the gentle river Cole presents a constant challenge appearing both to the sides of the fairway as a lateral hazard, whilst the elevated green of the par 3, 16th hole, is reached by playing over a stunning lake.

Home Course
I have been a member here for over 8 years now, originally the course suffered a bit of drainage problems which has been corrected over the years. We have also had 9 greens drainage work carried out at ?10,000 each green which has made the playable all year round.Reviewer Rating

Worth a round if you have never played this course.
Played this on the 29th July 2026. A nice enough course with some great holes. However its an expensive day if you require a buggy to go round. I have a dodgy knee so enquired about hiring a buggy and was told £35. I asked if there was a reduction for a single rider and was told quite bluntly that there was not and it was £35 and that was that. I thought fair enough the club have their rules and I would obviously abide by them as a guest. Other than that it was an enjoyable round. Course itself was nice but the fairways were very black and bare in lots of parts. Several times when trying to play a pitch shot or even an Iron shot it was playing off bare ground so no chance to play the shot as you would like it. On several occasions all four of us simply caught it bare and it bounded 50 to 60 yards away from where it was aimed. Would I play it again ?. Yes, of course however would not pay the green fee that they are asking for at this moment in time for a guest. Definitely worth playing if you have never played it before and I am sure you will enjoy the course itself.Reviewer Rating

Lovely Parkland Course
A course near South Birmingham border with Worcestershire; lovely parkland course with varied fairways laid out amongst a mature landscape with several water features especially the 16th hole; some tricky greens especially the 9th and the 18thReviewer Rating

Gold with buddies
Met up with some old work colleagues. Enjoyable conversations and good golf in parts. The course was still very soft, so no run. The greens were reasonable and quickened as the round progressed, if a little bumpy. The course requires carefully management but there was little rough.Reviewer Rating
