What the club says: The Golf Course was laid out in 1936 by the legendary H S Colt who was also responsible for the design and remodelling of many famous courses including the New and Eden courses at St Andrews, Muirfield, Sunningdale and Royal St Georges. Edgbaston is a natural parkland course surrounded by mature woodland. It is a tight course that demands accurate play to tricky greens that are always in excellent condition. Edgbaston was nominated as one of the top 200 courses in the UK by Peter Alliss.

Wow, Absolutely Stunning.
Had been told about this gem which is close to the centre of Birmingham. It certainly is. Very grand looking, however made very welcome. The course itself has some fantastically scenic holes. My favourite is the 16th. WOW, what an amazing hole when you are standing on the tee looking down the hill towards the hole. Get yourself up to this course if you ever can. Its an amazing course. We enjoyed it immensely and the holes flew by. We had something to eat when we finished and the food was also excellent.

Played Edgbaston on Monday 20 th feb with golf stewards and although not a fan of parkland courses this was fabulous. A tough front 9 with some long par fours that require accuracy off the tee and taking long irons. The back 9 is slightly easier with several tricky interesting holes. The greens were up around 8 and good for the time of year . I would recommend Edgbaston to anyone .

Played here Friday 18th Nov 2016, called on Wed 16th to book, the pro offered to match teeofftimes.co.uk price at £30 each for a 2 ball, when we arrived a different pro disputed they price match made a fuss and tried to charge us £35 each, he finally relented and we paid £30. The course I have played many times was in awful condition tee to green, the fairways were covered in leaves and unlike other courses I've played this week there looked like no attempt had been made to tidy up a little, the greens as always were in good condition a little on the small side but nevertheless firm and true. Of all the members we saw around the clubhouse and on the course only 1 person acknowledged us with a nod of the head (stuck up is an under statement). Overall the experience has left a sour taste in the mouth and I doubt I will ever return (I took 16 golfers for an expensive day out here last year) its vastly overpriced at £30 per round Hollywood Golf Club is in far better condition and fairly priced at £15.

The course was in terrific condition. The need to keep the in the fairway becomes apparent and the greens, being relatively small, were hard to hit and offered some tricky reads.

A course you must play,I've played it 3or 4 times now and would play it again, you wouldn't think you was in the middle of Birmingham ,well looked after course with some nice holes on it.some nice par 3s it's a course you can open up at times but you need to get your approach shot right as there's slopes into a few of the greens and you need to hit your shot into the right place, greens were nice.
Not a lot in the club shop,a nice old bar to relax and have a drink in
