What the club says: The Golf Course was laid out in 1936 by the legendary H S Colt who was also responsible for the design and remodelling of many famous courses including the New and Eden courses at St Andrews, Muirfield, Sunningdale and Royal St Georges. Edgbaston is a natural parkland course surrounded by mature woodland. It is a tight course that demands accurate play to tricky greens that are always in excellent condition. Edgbaston was nominated as one of the top 200 courses in the UK by Peter Alliss.

Hollow tinned greens for an OPEN event??
With so many good courses and fantastic greens in the area, I finally booked into an overpriced pairs open @ £35, fantastic clubhouse and facilities but things turned worse wehn we hit the putting green to find the greens were recovering from being tinned and sanded. great short game area and a range just down from the 10th tee.Moseley single medal £20 you got a coffee and a pastry what a nice touch, not even a coffee or a water. sadly I won't be back after this complete joke, If you have an open event your show casing your course I guess the rumours that the greens were shocking was true!
Deflated, one last word course layout was very nice.

Seen it looking better
A very good course but lacking a bit of TLC on this particular day. A little rough round the edges, and the greens were just 'coming back'(Round played: Apr 2019 - Score: 98 Handicap: 15.1)

Fantastic course
Cours was fantastic and greens a dream. The pro shop and staff were very welcoming and helpful. if booking a society there be mindful of numbers and the confirm early if possible as they were unable to accommodate my total number. The winter package is great value.

Excellent course, superb welcome
We visited Edgbaston on the Winter deal, ?30, including bacon roll and coffee on arrival. Firstly, this is a really good looking old fashioned clubhouse. We were met with a warm welcome both in the club shop and in the bar when enjoying our bacon roll. Everybody we came across were really friendly and welcoming. The clubhouse has a perfect balance or character and modern facilities. The course itself is a good challenge, not the longest at just over 5800 yards, but requiring accuracy throughout. There is only 1 Par 5 so the course is Par 69.
We were allowed to play through by 4 sets of members, 2 fourballs and 2 two balls, all very happy to do so and very pleasant as we passed - this certainly added to the experience and allowed for a slick round with little waiting.

Wow, Absolutely Stunning.
Had been told about this gem which is close to the centre of Birmingham. It certainly is. Very grand looking, however made very welcome. The course itself has some fantastically scenic holes. My favourite is the 16th. WOW, what an amazing hole when you are standing on the tee looking down the hill towards the hole. Get yourself up to this course if you ever can. Its an amazing course. We enjoyed it immensely and the holes flew by. We had something to eat when we finished and the food was also excellent.(Round played: Jun 2017 - Score: 86 Handicap: 14.4)
