What the club says: Cheshire Course (De Vere Carden Park)
The par 72 Cheshire course at 6,653 yards has hosted several Championships including the Cheshire and North Wales Open. It has impressive characteristics with a sandstone cliff and coniferous forest.
18 holes. Par 72. 6653 yards. Woodland.
The Nicklaus Course (De Vere Carden Park)
The setting of the Par 72 Nicklaus Course, with numerous hazards and spectacular holes across streams and lakes and views over the border to the Welsh Hills is outstanding. This is only the fourth course that the golfer of the 20th century turned his hand to and is described as a "thinking man's golf course" with double option holes on the 7th and 15th where golfers have to choose which fairway to attack the green from.
18 holes. Par 72. 6302 yards. Parkland with lakes.

Ultimate Package
This is a beautiful scenic course with a good level of difficulty and challenging. One to hire a buggy as it is a long course with some distance between green and next tee. The pro shop is good for a cheeky bargain as wellReviewer Rating

Expectations
I've heard a lot about this venue in the past but this was the first time I got to sample it first hand. The venue was impressive but a few things let it down as in the greens on the main course was shocking, yes they were suffering from some sort of disease but I think a place like that should be able to employed green keepers with the knowledge as to how to over come such issues.
The 2nd course was in much better condition and more astatically pleasing on the eye.

Golf, Hotel, Food brilliant - Drinks Expensive
What a weekend we had, great golf on both courses (we think the Cheshire beats the much easier Nicklaus) and we managed to avoid most of the bad weather. Watched England beat Ukraine with about 100 other golfers, enjoyed great hospitality and food. Slight downside is that even with 10% off the drinks are massively expensive which I know you expect on these golf weekends at highly rated hotels, but it always feels like golf is cheap and they make it back on the drinks. Anyway, we will certainly return as the golf was too good to ignore and the hotel was one of the best we've stayed in around the UK and we have been to a lot. The back nine on the Cheshire course was wow factor. Go there and enjoy what it has to offer, you won't be disappointed.Reviewer Rating

Not worth the price
My brother had to have a buggy, due to a knee problem. The buggies had to keep to the paths. They weren't allowed on the rough either side of the fairway. So with a buggy he did as much walking as I did with my trolley. RidiculousReviewer Rating
