A gem of a course hidden away in the highlands of Scotland. First played this course over 15 years ago and still play it annually. Although only 9 holes it is very challenging. If you are playing to your handicap, you are playing some great golf! There is some sort of hazard on every hole which can cost you your round! The rough can be thick and the wind can be deadly. When we last played in October the wind was high and depending on the hole and wind direction, you could hit your wedge further than your driver! The best holes on the course are the 1st, 5th and 7th. These are all par 3's although the 1st which is 235 yards in length, a decent drive is needed to avoid the Lochsie burn on the right side. On the 5th hole depending on the wind direction, you could use anything from a 2 iron to 8 iron. The 7th is Dalmunzie's "Postage Stamp" whereby although a relatively short hole at 116 yards, the Lochsie burn is in front of the burn which must be avoided or splish splash the ball is going for a bath! The 9th is a tough par 4 to finish on a hole which dog-legs to the right presents a tough finish. A great course for a levels!
