Not a course to visit.
Abundantly clear when visiting this is a Spa and Hotel that happens to still have a golf course attached. Course is poorly kept. Long fairways, patchy grass and unplayable bunkers make what could be an accessible short and interesting golf course unpleasant.Club has a warning of slow play that may not even go far enough. Prepare for 5+ hours.
Plenty of other golf courses in the area to play for a similar price point.

A tricky challenge
A look at the card suggests this should not be too difficult a course, but the 10 of us who visited for two days this week enjoyed the challenge. It has a nice layout, which is tree-lined without being overly intimidating, but this week it was very windy and the course is bone-dry, With sloping fairways, the wind and bounce made it tough to keep the ball on the fairways - although the greens were in pretty good condition. Staff are friendly, so it was an enjoyable, great -value visit.Reviewer Rating

Great course for a golf break
Stayed overnight for a 2-rounds, room, dinner and breakfast. Course in good condition despite 4 days of solid rain, slightly exposed to the wind on a few of the holes. Fairways in very good condition, greens OK but some patches and repair needed - some multi-tiered, slopped and fast considering. Tees had good grass cover but long. Not much water or peril, bunkers plentiful on fairways and around greens. Course is rolling and has a valley through it which present some hills - hole designs are varied and interesting. Buggys OK. Pace of play felt good, didn't feel pressured at all - everyone very friendly. Pro shop has essentials but limited choice.Reviewer Rating

Mr Robert Darvill
Played at the Cotswold club Sunday afternoon 14.38 tee time the course was in good condition greens ran fine fairways fine. The only complaint was the poor condition of the bunkers little or no sand making a greenside splash shot very difficult. It's a problem at most clubs very frustrating but easily solvedReviewer Rating
