What the club says: This is an attractive parkland course with excellent drainage and a great reputation for being in good condition all year round, particularly the greens. Its flat terrain makes for an easy and enjoyable walk, with breathtaking views of the Brecon Beacons providing an extremely pleasant and popular place to play golf. After a game you can enjoy the comforts and a warm welcome in the well-equipped clubhouse with a snack, a meal or just a drink.
Although, a nine hole course, every hole demands the greatest respect for the accomplished golfer. Many of the holes are shaped by superb mature trees and hedgerow, which when in full leaf provide an additional challenge. Eighteen holes of golf at Brecon measures 6,068 yards played from the white tee boxes with a par and standard scratch of 70, so it is certainly not your quintessential short nine-holes.

Welcoming
Although only 9 holes this is a well maintained and friendly golf course, not too challenging but enough interest to satisfy most mid to high handicappers. Gorgeous views of the Brecon Beacons (weather permitting!)Reviewer Rating

Awesome little course
Nice little course with a variety of holes.Although reasonably flat considering the geography of the landscape, hole 1,2 ,8 & 9 offer a hill or some form of undulation.
From the tee you will be asked to fade & draw the ball or you might be better off taking a shorter club than your driver. Drives here require accuracy otherwise you'll be in the trees but the rough was well maintained (although I did manage to lose two balls because I played very poorly). Winter mats were being use in April but that was ok as they're good quality with plenty of space. Green are hard and well maintained.
AT £10 for 9 holes it is excellent value for money. I've also heard from friends that meals their are superb.
Friendly members and staff, I will most certainly be going back.

Local Course
As someone who has only starting taking golf more seriously in the last couple of months, this course is ideal to help me improve my game. Fairways are wide to allow for straight drivers to flourish, however if you hit it into the rough, you're in for a challenge! Can't have any complaints.Reviewer Rating

I really liked the 8th hole with its double fairway and green in an arena bowl with a couple of surprises.
Staff were very welcoming and accommodating. A good advert for the friendliness of the Welsh as were the members.
