What The Club Says

Bearna Golf Club is located at the gateway to Connemara in the Gaeltacht, with commanding views of Galway Bay, the Burren and the Aran Islands, and only five miles from Galway city. Built on Connemara moorland it is a highly scenic area with features, colours, plants and animal life that you won't find elsewhere. The final four holes especially provide a spectacular finish to a satisfying and memorable experience.

Lovely setting and testing layout

Really enjoyed the course. We had heavy rain the night before so the course was very wet however the hospitality was excellent when we arrived and the course still played well despite the weather. Highly recommended

Tough course with great views, played on a fairly calm day but watch out if the wind blows. Some very interesting holes and good greens, it did look a little unfinished in places with ground works going on. The staff were friendly and the club house good, reasonable rates would play again.

I agree with Rob, this is a very friendly place. The opening holes are the hardest with tight fairways and plenty of gorse bushes. The last three holes are particularly challenging for those who are unfit!

lovely lynx course ,we played it in 40 mile winds so it was very tough.
DO NOT RENT THERE CLUBS i think the ones they gave me were stolen off a pub wall and at the money they charged for them you could of bought 3 sets a your local car boot which would be of similar standard.
having said that it is a very very freindly place with a good bar and food and we all had a great time playing it

i have never played in wind like it,great course but take a lot of balls with you ,If travelling from the Uk make sure you bring your own clubs because the ones they rent out I think where stollen off a pub wall and are total rubbish, when they asked me 25 euros I thought I had bought them.
A rearly fantastic course and I will definately like another chance to play it ,but next time without clubs with cane shafts
