From start to finish, our course offers challenges, chances and risks for golfers of all abilities. At 6005 yards in total the course is not too demanding for the more sage golfers or the shorter hitters but rewards both the cautious and adventurous ball strikers alike. See the course guide and heed the pro’s tips to help you plot your way around. Remember at Barnsley golf course, getting to the greens is one thing but …..How well are you putting? Barnsley is home to some of the trickiest and undulating putting surfaces in Yorkshire and also boasts one of the toughest finishes too, concentration is needed right until the very end, only when you sink your final putt on the 18th green can you relax and head towards the 19th.

Great condition
First time we played for a couple of years. Tee time was 11.40 didn't get on the tee while 11.55 queue was ridiculous. people in front & behind which was crazy. Then we was waiting for the people in front all way round before we could tee off. I think the club is putting to many people on the course not allowing for a good pace of play. It spoilt the round for us.think it's the club putting profit before there customers. Would think twice before playing there again on a weekend?Reviewer Rating

A well maintained and laid out course in good condition. Quite generous fairways some out of bounds with only one par 5 on white tees. The greens are a feature of this course and are the most difficult I have played. Access to the pin is critical as a two foot put from the wrong side could end up 10 feet away or even off the green. Clubhouse facilities are fairly basic but you will get a warm welcome from all.Reviewer Rating

Next possible Barnsley housing estate??
Always enjoyed playing Barnsley ( the Limes). But not this time. Greens have always been the best around....but not now. They are like a patchwork quilt !!! Absolutely shocking!! 2 of the greens on winter ones....in the middle of May????. Understand weather hasn't been the best but surely no excuse for not trimming the edge of bunkers???. Loose grass cuttings everywhere over the course,tees v.poor, far too much heavy rough. Generally in an all round poor condition. Course maintenance is shocking. Don't know if it's a plan to run it down purposely to make way for another housing estate?. £22 is drastically overpriced for the state of the course. hopefully it can be turned around to take it back to its prime....but not holding my breath!!!!Reviewer Rating

Very Wet
