What The Club Says
In total there are 5 eighteen hole golf courses - Oakwood, Pines, Beeches, Willows and our new course Kigbeare.
The courses occupy a lightly wooded parkland setting, in rolling countryside on the foothills of Dartmoor National Park. Extra hazards have been added to the natural ones already present, with dozens of bunkers and eighteen lakes making play even more of a challenge.

Great course

Okehampton 26
An annual Society trip to the golf centre where to keep the price down we sleep 3 to a room a little cramped but ok. The rooms are tired and need updating. There are 3 meals a day where you help yourself. The food choice and quality are mainly good.There are 5 courses too play of different outlay and difficulty. You can I think walk Willows (Par 3) and at a push Oakwood but you must have buggies for all the rest. It takes on average for a 4 ball 4.5 hours too play most of the courses except Kigbeare (Signature Course) which takes 5.25 hrs and Willows you can do in 2 hrs. While Oakwood and Pines are great too play, personally I do not like Beaches, undulating with a number of blind spots. Although in Buggies you need to keep to paths and therefore you still walk about 5-6 miles. They have a large number of activities you can also do such as Swimming, Snooker, Table Tennis, Ten Pin Bowling, Archery, Pistol and Rifle shooting to name but a few. They also have a number of lounges to relax in.
They have a sister site The Manor Resort which as well as activities at Ashbury also have a lot more there and there is a shuttle bus that can run between the 2.
Overall a great venue for a break with plenty to do.
