What the club says: Ardeer Golf Club is an exceptionally pleasant, rolling and well-appointed parkland course with hundreds of small, blossoming trees routed along the fairways and a babbling burn crossing in front of the greens. In playing the course, it is a lot more demanding than it appears. The 9th and 11th greens have recently been improved and are both exceptional holes playing across the "babblin" burn. The 9th is easily reachable from your second shot but the 11th at stroke index 1, is best approached from a lay-up.

Most Helpful Review

Played today and thought the course was nice. Not too much rough, trees down the side on most fairways although a lot of adjoining fairways to save wayward shots. It had been wet and the course was a little soggy although held up pretty well. Played on a Tuesday afternoon and it was very quiet

Facilities seemed pretty poor but the locals seemed friendly enough. - Aug 22 2017

All aspects of the course were in really good condition. Particularly liked the friendly length of the semi rough, which extended round many of the trees, great for visiting parties and pace of play. A good mix of longer and shorter holes, with many somewhere in the middle. every one different. Nicely undulating without being too hilly.\\\\\\\\Golfers of all abilities should enjoy this course.

Paul/greenock rated 3 out of 5 - Oct 22 2015

Decent course with tough sloping greens. No real trouble off the tee and rough plays very easy so missing fairways is not too bad. Played in 30 mph winds and wet fairways which added 3/4 shots to the course. Not really any memorable holes it must be said but still I would play again in better conditions. Score 79. Handicap 7

Greens not all same pace, some with wee patchy bits that the warm sun should help fix.

Course is in absolutely pristine condition, fairways, tees and especially the greens. Lots of changes in elevation, well-placed bunkers and the burn make you think. Lovely Ayrshire countryside setting made for an enjoyable outing of our threesome. Course not busy during mid-week and the £15 Tue-Thur visitor green fee is an incredible deal. Will definitely be back.
