What the club says: 18 hole parkland course set amidst beautiful Grampian countryside. This parkland course is a challenging and enjoyable experience, testing the skills of all golfing abilities, with some tricky wedge shots. The dog leg at the 18th, 393yards, is well worth waiting for as you reach the green with the gallery of the clubhouse surrounding it, you can imagine yourself playing to the crowds at an Open Championship.

Good course, easy walking !!

Nice flat course in great condition. The condition of each green was very good and fairways were well kept. Each hole was well laid out and tee boxes were neat and professional looking, Friendly staff in the starters shop and clubhouse after our round.

Greens unusually for Alford were exceptionally slow, more akin to April. If you like to play quickly a good course

Short but boy do you need to be accurate!

Miss the fairway and you WILL be playing around trees. Greens are small too so second shots need to be spot on. I play off 3 and when I saw the length of the course I thought I'd blitz it but the first time round hit 7 over, 10 more than standard scratch. Second time round learned a few lessons and ended up with just 2 over so still did not play to my handicap but was pleased with my efforts. As the course is short 36 holes can be played in a day no problem and the staff in the clubhouse were superb. The course was in good condition with very true greens. A good test as well as being a great course for an outing
