What the club says: It is with justification that The Milngavie Golf Club is considered by many to be the finest golf course in the district. The course is situated just 15 minutes from the West End and South Side of Glasgow, on the edge of Mugdock Country Park and adjacent to the West Highland Way.
This absolutely stunning location provides fantastic views over Glasgow and the central belt as far as the Pentland Hills, and also across to the Campsies and to Ben Lomond.
Founded in 1895, The Milngavie Golf Club was originally designed by Willie and Laurie Auchterlione, with later features added by James Braid, and is now a priceless gem

Absolute belter of a course. Friendly staff and what a course, not long at 6000 yards but very tricky and well maintained. One of the best in the Glasgow area without a doubt.Reviewer Rating

Course is set in beautiful countryside a few miles outside Glasgow. The course makes good use of the contours and natural features of the locality. Unlike my home course in Norfolk I was left playing lots of shots either above or below my feet. So my game was found wanting somewhat.
The course is relatively short but none the less a good challenge for all ability levels.
When I played the rough was down although I can imagine it can be penal when there is a good summer growth.
The greens had been recently tined so can't really comment on them.
I've also been told to avoid later in the year when the western Scottish midges get out!
Well worth a visit.
