What the club says: The golf course at Mar Menor Golf Resort was opened in 2005, marking the first stage of the marvelous Nicklaus Golf Trail at Polaris World. Each hole on this course requires the utmost attention and concentration; everything rests on the player's ability and problem solving skills to overcome the problems presented by this incredible golf course. The course demands a wide range of shots to deal with the obstacles successfully. Lakes play a key part in the development of play and this kind of strategic feature requires great skill and courage on the part of the player. This lush Mediterranean landscape full of palm tress, native grasses and flowering shrubs adds to the beauty of the resort. The challenge is there, do you dare?
9 holes. Par 36. 3280 yards. Parkland with lakes

From waste area's has caused lots of damage but all in all still a good experience.

(Round played: Sep 2019 - Score: 90 Handicap: 10)

Two 9 holes tacked together, but still good
Tale of two halves. Front 9 is the original resort course that winds thru the villas. Good condition and quick, well maintained greens - players at this resort seem to fix their pitch marks which isn't always the case elsewhere. Back 9 has been added on wiht the development of the apartments and it opens out into a much wider course with some water that only comes into play if you play really wayward shots. Still lots of sand and you need to be mindful of your course management, but its not a course designed to punish amateurs. Good fun. Watch out for the buggy police - bit draconian and don't even think about using a buggy to run your clubs to your accommodation.(Round played: May 2019 - Score: 97 Handicap: 20)

(Round played: Apr 2019 - Score: 116 Handicap: 26.2)

Long in places
Ok course which is fairly long in places - two 500m par 5s back to back. Greens are ok and pace of play was fine 3ball in between 4 balls took 4h 15mins. Don't go in the rough or the sand/waste areas - they are both tough to get out of

Poor value
Bunkers not raked and some weeds. Greens in terrible state due to severe lack of players repairing pitch marks. Not worth the £40 twighlight rate paid, and certainly not the full rate.(Round played: Sep 2018 - Score: 90 Handicap: 15.2)

Bunker bound
This course is peppered with very strategically placed bunkers, ie anywhere you drive there is a bunker, approaches to the green, guess what bunkers galore. In saying that the fairways and greens were in good condition considering the weather they have had. Difficult to take a read on the greens, but if in doubt go for the hole and you shouldn’t be far out. The facilities good too, nice changing area. But not a lot else in the area. Good place for a golf break though.(Round played: Sep 2018 - Score: 91 Handicap: 17.1)

Great course
Very well looked after course, good for the mediocre golfer. 100% would play again(Round played: Apr 2018 - Score: 107 Handicap: )

MAr Menor
Interesting track right ton the resort. Overall very good facilities and the course in good condition if not the best.(Round played: Apr 2018 - Score: 91 Handicap: 20.4)

nice course
Nice course, green not the best, but however nice layout. No real club house as part of hotel complex
(Round played: Apr 2018 - Score: 88 Handicap: 15.8)

Pricey for what you get
Nice course but not worth the money. For the price we paid I can play 2 / 3 times elswhere
(Round played: Apr 2018 - Score: 107 Handicap: 19.5)

(Round played: Apr 2018 - Score: 102 Handicap: 26)

Good course
This is a good course, busy but good, the design of holes are interesting, the condition of course was good, but greens were slow as of high winds.Design is from fair to difficult, depending on your driving distances, well placed bunkers

Plays as HCP 9,2 and went in 79 and 82 strokes, bunkers took many strokes

A very good course.
Very good course which I would return to. The only downside was playing on a Saturday it was very busy and the pace of play was slow. I understand it is a very popular course and can also be very busy during the week. This apart it is a well kept course offering most club golfers a challenging round.
