Great improvement on back 9
The front 9 has always been good. They have worked a lot on the fairways on the back 9. Each week they have made them better, to the point now that the back and front 9s are pretty similar. Greens have always been excellent. Nice course.Reviewer Rating

Old & new
Course is made up of two 9 holes. Front 9 has been in existence for a while, back 9 is approx 3 years old. The back 9 has significantly improved over last 6 months due to the work the grounds taffy have done. All 18 greens are excellent. Fairly flat but some tricky holes on both 9s. Front 9 excellent, back 9 improving, greens all over are superb
We are members here and play every week. Originally it was a 9 hole course, so? the front 9 are well established. The back 9 is newer but the club are doing a lot of work improving it week by week. The greens are some of the best greens you will play in Murcia.Reviewer Rating

Great Course, challenging
Front 9 here is fully established with some challenging holes. As it plays quite long off the yellows the par 5s are a challenge for high/mid handicap golfers. Par 3s are challenging. Back 9 is newer so some of the course needs time to bed in. Again challenging par 5 lengths. Water comes into play on a fair few holes so you need to be accurate. The back 9 was recently tined and there is a lot of sand on the fairways. The greens on this course are brilliant, great surfaces and contours.Reviewer Rating

Back 9
We only played the back 9 but now plan to play all 18 next week. Back 9 fairways were a little bit sparse but to be honest at the moment with the water shortage in Spakn that's all courses. Back 9 is the newer 9 so it'd still settling in. Greens were excellent and in very good condition. The course is quite long, over 6200 metres. Will review it again next week after we have played all 18. Staff are very welcoming and friendly, nice terrace at the club house to sit and have a 19th hold beerReviewer Rating

New Back 9
The course is very much improved with the introduction of a new back 9 (I think it needs to be mapped on all devices at this moment in time) it is long but not insurmountable. For shorter hitters of the ball, I think the Blue tees would be more sensible. Overall good, and will be very good when the fairways on the B9 have had time to develop - the greens are immaculate on all 18 holes, probably, year-round, the best in the area.Reviewer Rating

Don't be fooled by the long flat fairways. there are subtle challenges along the way. Over-hit the green on the first par 5 and you will find yourself in rough grass on a downslope. Hook your swing on the next par 3 and you are in the water, or over hit the green not visible from the tee and you are in a deep bunker. Let's not forget the next par3 over the water on either side of a narrow fairway. Then there is the dreaded wall par4 long and curving out of sight with a sharp slope running from left to right met by a bunker. Last hole, over hit green and you are in the reeds. Challenging yes, fun definately.

Superb 9 hole course, excellent condition
The course is an excellent 9 hole course, the greens are possibley the best in the region and fairways excellent. The green staff work hard to keep the playing areas in a very good condition but the perifery areas need constant attention to help speed up the rounds. Great course

Course in better condition than his time last year. Owners have made some improvements to enhance greens and fairways. Still very good value for golf in spain.

Improving all the time
The course is getting better re condition but still has some way to go. Greens are mostly quite good but fairways have a long way to go to be acceptable.Staff are very friendly and you can get a nice coffee or beer and tapas in the cafe.

Good Value for money
Although the course is still being developed the tee boxes, fairways and greens are very good and it is provides a good challenge for medium handicap golfers. Overall it was good value for money at 35 Euros per round and will return on my next visit to the area.Reviewer Rating

(Round played: Apr 2017 - Score: 54 Handicap: ) played sierra today after not being out since last October. Lots of improvements undertaken, tarmac laid for buggies on all holes and greens in perfect condition. Fairways also planted with new grass plugs which should show benefit in 12 minths time.

Played Sierra over 18 months ago and it was dire. However the new owners have put a lot on money and efforts into the course and the tees, fairways and greens are in much better shape. It is still only a 9 hole but there is a good future for Sierra Golf in Murcia.
