How you could attend the Masters in 2027
Augusta National is a golfing dreamscape. We have all grown up consuming its iconic visuals. The holes are instantly recognisable, the sounds unmistakable, the drama of the Masters quickly recallable.
It's why players covet an invitation to compete in the tournament for an opportunity to breathe in that setting and to grasp a potential chance of slipping inside the green jacket, a guarantee of sporting immortality.
Exclusivity underpins the experience here, only a select few participate in the event, and a fortunate numbers of thousands have the distinction of being a "patron" for the week.
But you could join them next year. If you love this game, there is a likelihood that one day stepping inside the gates at Augusta and seeing it all with your own eyes is something that rests pretty highly on your proverbial bucket list.
Let's take a look at your options to secure your presence at the Masters in 2027.

The 2027 Masters Ticket Application Process
For generations, the spectators at the Masters were composed of the same people who returned annually and passed down their tickets to their children and grandchildren. These long-term badge holders do remain a significant part of the gallery, but since 2012, organisers have overseen a ticket lottery process that invites people from all over the world to apply for a (slim) chance of claiming a pass inside the grounds on tournament week.
Applications for 2027 start here on the 1st of June, with the window remaining open until the 20th of that month. You can declare how many tickets you are seeking and which days you would be hoping to attend.
Once that process is completed, a ballot is drawn and the lucky few will soon discover that they have been successful. How likely you are to get through is uncertain, the number of available tickets hasn't been revealed, but I personally know of several people who have attended the Masters through this pathway, so it's certainly a real possibility.
How much do the tickets cost? According to Golfweek, in 2026, the price was $125 for practice rounds and $150 for tournament rounds. A weekly badge would set you back $525.
The Masters has commendably never sought ultimate commercialisation. The food and beverage menu prices have been unchanged for years, and they charge dramatically less for tickets than what would be possible in a frenzied marketplace that has outpriced many from other major events in sport.
