Patrick Reed what's in the bag 2026
It wasn't pretty in the end but former Masters champion Patrick Reed won the Dubai Desert Classic by four shots from England’s Andy Sullivan after a final round of 72. He finished on 14 under par.
It had looked like a battle between Reed and his fellow LIV golfer David Puig but the young Spaniard faltered when it mattered and Reed was able to cruise home in the end.
He took a four-shot lead into the final day at Emirates Golf Club and never relinquished control, despite seeing his advantage cut by Puig.
Reed mixed two birdies and two bogeys to end the week comfortably ahead of Sullivan, who jumped into second after a late birdie burst, with Puig sharing third spot alongside Julien Guerrier.
Former Open champion Francesco Molinari was fifth with Nicolai Hojgaard and Jayden Schaper, as pre-tournament favourite Rory McIlroy carded his worst result at the event since 2008 with a tied-33rd finish.
McIlroy ended the week 12 strokes back on two under alongside defending champion Tyrrell Hatton, with Tommy Fleetwood a further stroke adrift.
