OGIO Launches New Collection to Make Travel Easier
We’re big fans of the golf bags and travel cases from OGIO, the Callaway off-shoot, so it’s good to see a new collection of general travel bags released.
The RISE travel collection features five top-of-the-range products, including a backpack, duffel bag and water bottle pouch.
As well as being extremely useful for travel, being lightweight and well thought out for travellers, they look the part too.
The duffel bag has 11 pockets, including a dedicated bottom shoe compartment, two accessory pouches and has expandable corners to adapt their size to suit airline restrictions, or if you need a bit more space for your belongings.
A water bottle has become an essential item these days so the introduction of a bottle holder into the range is timely. Water bottle refilling stations are commonplace at airports and with countries and golf clubs encouraging reusable bottles in place of plastic one-use ones, golfers and the general public alike will find this useful.
The pouch can fit a 32 ounce hydro flask while incorporating a zipped back pocket with a key clip for additional storage.
The pouch will be particularly handy for golfers who have to deal with their luggage and clubs when they no longer have a hand free to hold a bottle.
The RISE backpack is also useful in those situations where you need your hands free. With multiple compartments and cargo net inspired elastic side pockets, it gobbles up luggage. A dedicated laptop sleeve is provided.
The RISE Tote is built for multi use with convertible back straps and easy access top opening.
The new range is completed by a crossbody with cinched front pocket for necessities and multi compartments designed to organise essentials making it an ideal lightweight accessory.
I’ve been using OGIO bags for some time now and have been continually impressed by their design, functionality and quality.
As well as standing out from the crowd, which is a great advantage when collecting luggage and clubs from the airport carousel, they are rugged and stand the test of time.
My most recent acquisition from the 2025 golf collection is the Alpha Travel Cover Mid, which will no doubt be put onto good use over the coming months as I continue to review golf resorts in my role as Golfshake Travel Editor.
My travel bag is a little more refined in colour then my usual choice - a kind of sandy caramel - but it will certainly stand out at the airport, aided by the bright red and turquoise zips and straps.
This model is robust, well balanced and has plenty of grab points so I won’t be worrying about my clubs being bashed about by rough handling behind the scenes.
At just 8.82kg unpacked there is plenty of weight allowance available for the clubs, shoes and balls, etc. Usual weight allowance by airlines is 20kg though you often get 23kg for long haul flights. My kit, fully packed, typically hits the scales at 16-18 kg.
