The Best Fairway Woods of 2025
As golfers, too many of us are probably guilty of reaching for the driver on most tees and finding ourselves more often than not with a sense of regret as we find the rough or get lost in the trees.
Fairway woods are tremendously useful clubs that can help you to become more consistent off the tee or indeed be a great option from longer yardages when irons aren't viable on approach shots.
Highly adaptable, you can deploy them in a variety of conditions, meaning that having a good one is essential for your golf bag.

Callaway Elyte Triple Diamond Fairway Wood
Ryan was a big fan of the new Elyte Triple Diamond, one of a trio of woods launched by Callaway, with this particular variation being engineered for those golfers who value having a penetrating flight with low spin. This is made possible courtesy of this club's more compact shape and deeper face, which allows players to shape shots with ease and control, while added workability and shot-shaping prowess is supported by a forward weight screw that promotes a lower spin rate and a more piercing ball flight.
TaylorMade Qi35 Fairway Wood
Designed to suit a wide range of golfers, the Qi35 from TaylorMade maintains a high level of MOI (Moment of Interia) meaning that it's forgiving but features an optimised CG location that sits in line with the centre of the ball at address, which encourages faster ball speeds and greater distance.
PING G440 Max Fairway Wood
There are three distinct offerings as part of the new G440 PING family, but we're going to focus on the Max, which has been created to suit the majority of golfers. What you can expect from this club - which is available in five lofts (including a 4-wood) - is that that you can adapt what you purchase to fit seamlessly into your bag, with this club featuring a taller face for more confidence, a CG location that delivers a high launch off the ground, while the face thickness has been optimised for more consistent performance.
Wilson DYNAPWR Carbon Fairway Wood
Ryan has been pretty excited about the new DYNAPWR range from Wilson, and he has chosen to include both of its new fairway woods in this article, starting with the Carbon, which is suited to players looking for greater penetration with their ball flight and lower spin. It's achieved thanks to a lightweight carbon crown that enhances weight distribution, while a 30g front tungsten weight promotes a lower launch and spin with added forgiveness. This wood also boasts an open hosel construction and a six-way adjustable hosel to heighten your shot-shaping ability.
Wilson DYNAPWR Max Fairway Wood
Such is the quality of Wilson's latest offering, Ryan had to include the Max too, which is the model that is most ideal for those golfers who require extra stability and forgiveness. It features a thin-cast steel crown that enhances weight distribution, positioning the CG lower and further back to allow for a more stable design, while a 12g rear weight promotes higher, towering ball flights for maximum carry.
Titleist GT1 Fairway Wood
The new GT1 fairway woods from Titleist notably feature lightweight shafts and a lightweight grip, which you can probably guess is there to promote faster speeds and a higher launch for most golfers. You can also get these in a standard weighted setup, which is part of the customisation of these clubs, something made possible due to the Dual Performance Control Settings, consisting of a new adjustable forward-aft flat-weights that give you more options at fitting, something that we'd always recommend. The heavier, 11-gram weight is positioned in the aft position, with the lighter, 3-gram weight in the forward position for a high-MOI, stable setup. The weights can be flipped to lower spin and increase speed.
Srixon ZXi Fairway Wood
This is a really strong performer from Srixon and has several adjustable options. With the ZXi, you will enjoy a sturdy, lightweight carbon crown that positions mass low, while the stepped crown design lowers the CG, resulting in higher, longer shots. It also showcases progressive new footprints, improving sole shape and increasing overall forgiveness.
