Testing Old Titleist Golf Balls Against The Pro V1

Much has been said and written about the advancements made in golf ball technology, with arguably the most seminal moment of them all being the introduction of the Pro V1 over two decades ago.

There is fierce debate when it comes to the distances being attained by the game's best players, who are now using the latest Pro V1 model. 

But how does the modern Pro V1 compare with the Titleist golf balls of yesteryear? Golfshake Equipment Expert, Ryan Rastall has tested three vintage models, from the 1970s, 80s and 90s, alongside the Pro V1, hitting a variety of clubs and looking at the key stats to properly judge the gains that have been made through the generations.
