Big Prizes Drawn in Golfshake #BirdieClub

By: Golfshake Editor | Tue 14 Sep 2021

The main period of the 2021 Golfshake #BirdieClub in Association With Callaway & Odyssey Golf concluded in spectacular fashion with a big increase in rounds tracked across the Bank Holiday Weekend.

During Week 6, over 5,000 birdies were recorded in the Golfshake Score Tracker, alongside 53,000 net birdies. Encouragingly for the Golfshake Community, 39% of rounds included a birdie, up from 38% the previous week.

In terms of fast starts, 2% of rounds started with a birdie, with 23% of them recording a net birdie, securing an immediate entry into the #BirdieClub Prize Draw.

Golfshake Member, Colin Shaw began his round at Wharton Park with three birdies! We also saw one scratch golfer post a round with a staggering eight birdies and four golfers had a successive string of net birdies on the first eight holes. Excellent scoring!

Claiming Callaway Chrome Soft Golf Balls, our Week 6 Prize Winners were:

  • J Upton
  • D Griffiths
  • S Piearce
  • B Smith

After 6 Weeks

Golfers

Reflecting on the past six weeks, we have seen thousands of golfers adding scores, tracking well over 300,000 net birdies, but it was now time to draw our two main prize winners, who each secured an Odyssey Putter With Triple Track Technology.

David Peachey, whose five net birdies on 25th August qualified him for the draw, was thrilled to be successful:

"Great news to hear that I’ve won a new putter as I love Odyssey putters and I’ve been using Golfshake for years so I’m delighted!"

Andy Palmer - who made two net birdies on 27th August - said: "This was just a friendly round where l was lucky to chip in on the par five 2nd from about 10 feet to record the five and the other was an iron into the par three 12th and two putts from about eight feet."

The main six-week period is over, but we're excited to announce that the #BirdieClub will continue for another five weeks! Running until Sunday 10th October - taking in the Ryder Cup and beyond - we'll be offering weekly ball prizes to golfers who track their rounds (with net birdies) in the Golfshake Score Tracker.

So, keep making birdies and continue tracking your rounds on Golfshake!
