Stat Focus: The Brabazon at The Belfry

Thousands of golfers use the Golfshake Score Tracker to record their scores and track their stats, taking full advantage of the statistical analysis to provide an insight behind their games. This depth of information has offered us a vast library of data, covering golf courses across the UK, Europe and beyond, capturing just how well the Golfshake Community have played certain layouts, including specific holes and the number of putts taken on each green.

Continuing our Stat Focus Series, we pay attention to The Belfry, which is the most reviewed venue on Golfshake. There are three courses at this renowned resort in Warwickshire, but it's the Brabazon Course that is best known for hosting the Ryder Cup on four occasions, 1985, 1989, 1993 and 2002, reaching iconic status within the minds of golfers. 

We recall the great moments of the past, including the exploits of Seve Ballesteros on the reachable par four 10th, the winning putts holed by Sam Torrance and Paul McGinley, not to mention the famous approach shot to the 18th from Christy O'Connor Jnr. These have all become an indelible part of the rich history of European golf, and the opportunity to walk in those footsteps and take on those same shots is a thrilling prospect for anyone with a sense of place.

Many of you will have experienced the Brabazon, but how did you score? 

Luckily, we can compare the performances of the Golfshake Community. We have analysed rounds tracked by our mid-handicap golfers - between 12 and 19 - to provide a hole-by-hole guide to the course from the yellow tees, ranking them in terms of difficulty in relation to par, and we have added the average number of putts too.
