Explore All 18 Holes at Spectacular Pine Valley

By: | Fri 15 Dec 2017

Pine Valley is the Holy Grail for many golfers. Ranked as the greatest course in the United States by Golf Digest, this highly exclusive all-male club in New Jersey is a rarely unearthed jewel, essentially taking on mythological status within some minds. It has hosted the Walker Cup twice – most recently in 1985 – and was the venue for a Shell’s Wonderful World of Golf match in the early 1960s between Gene Littler and Byron Nelson, but aside from that, most people have heard more about the revered layout than what they have seen.

However, that has now changed, thanks to this extraordinary drone footage taken by Golf Digest. Looking through all 18 holes, the spectacular bunkering and sheer scale of the property is evident. Designed by founder George Arthur Crump with the assistance of celebrated architects such as A. W. Tillinghast and H.S. Colt, it’s a creation that has enthralled and challenged golfers for generations, albeit the exclusivity arguably represents the worst of stereotypes and instincts within the game.

Its mystique is unquestioned, and that reputation was illustrated by Pine Valley being selected by Golfshake followers and users as one of their ‘Bucket List Courses’ that they most dream of playing. Watching this video, viewing the stunning coverage of the landscape, we can only imagine that more golfers will feel that way.
