Fantastic course well worth playing
First time playing Son Vida and well impressed with the overall set up. Great looking clubhouse, friendly welcome by all staff. Well stocked pro shop. Great practice facilities. Course in fab condition, fairways lush, green mint which rolled really well. A must play as part of golfing trip. Hope to be back sometimeReviewer Rating

Mallorca's oldest course
Nestled among the rolling hills just outside Palma, Club de Golf Son Vida is one of Mallorca’s most historic and admired courses—and for good reason. Opened in 1964, it’s the island’s oldest golf course, and its maturity shows in the best possible way: wide, tree-lined fairways, strategic bunkering, and a layout that rewards thoughtful play over brute strength.Course & Layout
Son Vida is known for its parkland-style design, with lush greenery and Mediterranean pines shaping much of the routing. The front nine is relatively forgiving and ideal for warming up, while the back nine tightens significantly, culminating in the famous 18th hole; a downhill par 5 with a dramatic water carry that tempts confident players to go for the green in two.
The course isn’t the longest by modern standards, but it’s wonderfully technical. Sloped fairways, doglegs, and elevated greens mean accuracy and course management matter more than distance.
Scenery & Ambiance
The views are exactly what you’d expect from Mallorca’s highlands: sweeping vistas of Palma Bay, manicured landscapes, and serene residential surroundings. It has a relaxed, upscale atmosphere; never stuffy, but clearly premium.
Facilities
Son Vida has joined with Son Quint and Son Muntaner, to form a new group with a couple of hotels, so they can try to pick up group business, and proposing it as a resort for golfers. The clubhouse at Son Vida is stylish and comfortable, offering a terrace with gorgeous tree-top views, a solid restaurant menu, and well-maintained locker rooms. The practice area is good (though not as large as some newer resort courses), with a putting green and warm-up zone.
Service & Experience
Staff are friendly, professional, and accustomed to an international clientele. Tee times can be busy during peak seasons, but the course is generally well-paced and well-marshalled. We were all given a course guide, but around the half way mark this was hard to follow, and obviously we all had our own GPS devices anyway.
Value
It’s on the higher end of green fees in Mallorca, but the pricing reflects its heritage, setting, and facilities. Golfers looking for prestige and a classic layout will feel it’s worth every euro. Those seeking ultra-modern championship challenges might prefer Son Muntaner or Son Gual, but Son Vida’s charm is unmatched. I’d recommend and be happy to play here again if I return to Mallorca.

So picturesque
Really nice course and we booked early morning and really got round the first 9 in about 1.5 hours. The second 9 took twice that it was so slow. Fairways and greens great and the scenery is fabulous but unless you are in a four ball forget the mornings.Reviewer Rating
