What the club says: River Birch is one of Idaho’s most enjoyable public golf courses! Located in Star right off of Highway 16 and Beacon Light Road, River Birch puts the "go" back in golf with fast play, low cost and open yet challenging fairways and greens. Relax, laugh a little and let the the natural habitat inspire you while you challenge our 6993-yard, par-73 course.

Good muni course, but like many coourses in the area, it is getting pricey. I still love this course and will still go here, but only on weekdays.

Good course
River Birch is a good out of the way golf course with challenging holes and an interesting layout. Beginners may find it a bit challenging.Reviewer Rating

Don’t plan a tournament here
After having the tournament on the calendar for months. Very late notice of a whole bunch of restrictions made the a Idaho high school district tournament have to relocate, because the restrictions that were being changed with less than a week notice would not have allowed it to qualify for State play. Players had already paid for practice rounds and parents had already made travel arrangements. Course management decisions were very poor. Be very wary of planning a tournament here as they may change things last minute on your tournament also.Reviewer Rating

Course is well laid out. Played on a 90+ temperature day and there was enough shade to cool down. Greens seemed very fast and sometimes difficult to spot the breaks
