What the club says: Pirin Golf & Country Club is set against the towering back drop of the stunning Pirin Mountains. The Ian Woosnam Golf Course encapsulates what it means to play golf in the mountains. Ian Woosnam golf course is the pride of the club and is an outstanding 18-hole, Par 72 championship course designed by the winning 2006 Ryder Cup Captain, Ian Woosnam. Pirin Pine golf course is the second course and is named after the surrounding area. The course is designed by a young German company.

Beautiful course

Great condition, fair course to play to handicap. Greens fast and some interesting breaks. Sand nice to get out of.

Staying in Bansko. Saw offer at Pirin golf for a round with lunch. Needed to hire clubs though.\\Course was very well kept, greens and fairways excellent. Restaurant very good and customer service top notch.\\Same cannot he said for pro shop where service was completely lacking and clubs hired were appalling. I have ones newer than the hire ones which I have had for 30 years. A mixture of dirty old clubs barely playable. Would return but only with my own clubs

While my stay was good and we had three rounds of golf my own feeling is that the course eating is suspect. On their slope system, from the yellow tees I had to play from a handicap three stokes lower than at my course. (Corfu) indicating that Pirin is an easier course. We as a group have been there I believe five times with between 20 and 30 golfers each time, none of us can remember anyone playing anywhere near their handicaps. Competitions are won with between 25 and 32 points. We have some reasonably good club golfers and these statistics are not compatible. The law of averages would surges that of the times and the amount of rounds of golf we have played there, one person at least is going to have a good day and to or close to his handicap. We are still waiting.
