What the club says: Previously known as Vigne del Barolo Golf Course the Barolo Golf is set in a corner of Piedmont, where the Barolo vineyards characterise a landscape known the world over. The 18 holes were styled by Emanuele Canonica in collaboration with the Josè Maria Olazàbal Golf Team that will stun you for the beauty of the landscape and the scenographic quality of the routes unfolding amid the hills and the vineyards.
The 18-hole PAR 71 golf course, over 6.450 m in length, artfully designed in a fully natural environment extends over an area of 162 acres. Here you will get the thrill of playing on a great championship course and, whether you are a neophyte or a professional, you will profit from a fantastic range of strategic and technical options.

Scenic views of the Alps. that's about it, because the golf course is laughably punishing, with greens that prove incredibly fast when you try to make a wedge bite into them and chancy otherwise, curved and narrow fairways, and no recovery possible. Bring the drivers but leave all the other woods at home. the two par threes are both Island greens, and the second one, level with the tees, has an ice hardened green that will let the tee shot roll into the drink behind the hole. the eating there is rather expensive, and i'd rather spend my money on a rewarding, full 18 hole course than a frustrating 9 hole one. it gets a fair rating because of its mint conditions.
