Shanghai Binhai Golf Club is the premier golfing virtue in Shanghai, featuring 2 international championship golf courses, a 5 Star Clubhouse and a Boutique Hotel, standard Tennis Court, 30 bays grass Driving Range and 20 bays lakeside Driving Range.
The 18 holes Lake Course is a Links style, designed by Peter Thomson, five times British Open Champion. It naturally combines the bunkers, fairways, lakes and plants.
The Forest Course is 18 holes of a tranquil forest environment, it’s the only one 18 holes Par 73 course (7105 yards) in Shanghai with the longest holes Par 5 (629 yards).

Among the nicer facilities near Shanghai
The club has two 18 hole courses. The Champions course and the Lakes course.The Champions course is fantastic, but you will have to get hold of a member to play it. You should definitely try.
I do have a bit of a love-hate relationship with the other, Lakes, course. The course layout is really nice and in excellent condition, but the fairways are packed with bunkers meant to carry all your perfect drives. And most of these bunkers are more like greenside bunkers rather than typical fairway bunkers. The sensible way is to layup for these bunkers, but laying up on just about every hole takes the fun away (We all like to hit our driver, isn't it). So it adds a bit of a random element in a game. (good for gamblers).

Amazing course
This is a great course, reserved for members and member's guests. But if you have the opportunity to play the course no hesitation. This is a beautiful course. The course is in great condition, greens are fast and true, and no hole is the same. Many holes offer different options to play, so good strategy is important. Generally quite long holes, so can be a bit challenging to get to the green in regulation.(Round played: Jan 2018 - Score: 110 Handicap: 26.1)
