What the club says: Keeping your head down at Simola can be a challenge; simply because the views around the course are awe-enspiring, and with this, it is clear to see why Simola takes its place as one of South Africa's premier golfing destinations. It's also the first Jack Nicklaus Signature course on the Garden Route, reflecting the maestro's philosophy of attuning the layout and design to the natural lie of the land.

The course offers challenging and rewarding golf amidst spectacular scenery. Set below the high ridges, it’s free from the wind that so often plagues coastal courses. Fairways flow with the natural undulating contours of the terrain and the unusual configuration of five par 5's and five par 3's adds a new dimension to the game. It's par for the course that every hole boasts exceptional views; either out across the Knysna Lagoon all the way to the Heads or over the picturesque Knysna River as it twists and turns through the valley below.

Superb Course

Great course and fantastic views which can distract from the golf! Very helpful pro shop and rented clubs are of good quality and driver was loft adjusted for me when collected. Will be back for sure.

Fantastic course!

Picturesque course, great views, lots of bunkers, fast and true greens. Very friendly locals.

Great golf course and exceptional value. Lovely facilities and like all courses in SA amazing back-drop. Nice practice facilities too which is one of the areas I feel SA sometimes lack.

Beautiful course with fantastic views of Knysna, but very expensive, staff with attitude and compulsory buggies. Played well but difficult greens marred my experience! Would rather play the other courses in the area twice for the same money as they are just as good and much more friendly!

Beautiful course in excellent condition. Beware at halfway they seem to charge what they want depending on who you are playing with. Clubhouse and facilities excellent.

Beautiful Simola. Great course, plenty of sand thanks to our Jack the course designer. Each hole is different and the views are amazing. Clubhouse is great value for money considering the surroundings. I will be back. Highly recommended.

a must play parkland course with beautifully crafted holes with plenty of bunkers. The views are stunning, the holes not overly long but good placement is required.Hole 2 is brilliant. We played at end of august and course was deserted, Thoroughly recommend.
