beautiful mountain course with gorgeous scenery
We played Sky Valley 6/2/25 & 6/3/25. $100.00 w/cartFantastic mountain course with bentgrass fairways and greens. Greens were "rolled" on the morning of 6/3. Fastest greens I have ever played on in my life. I am 69 and have been playing golf since I was 12. I always dreamed about playing on greens as fast as Oakmont CC or Augusta National. Those dreams ended now. Sky Valley has the fastest greens I ever want to play. Thankfully, they are not greatly undulated. Every shot demands thought and multiple calculations like elevation changes, wind direction and shot location. You have to think your way around the course. That being said, it is very fair. Good shots are rewarded and bad shots are penalized. We showed up at the proshop on a wednesday morning at 8:30 am WITHOUT a tee time (due to a cancellation of a tee time at another course) . They told us to head right on on the course. I was stunned. Very friendly people at this resort course. I cant wait to go back. Oh wait... I forgot to find a criticism. The rough was way too long and thus at least a half shot penalty if you can find your ball. If you find yourself in the rough, just pitch it back out in the fairways and accept your punishment.
