A walk back through time
Every so often a round of golf is more than 4 hours spent in nature, but rather a history lesson and that is what you get when you played the Arsenal. Routed through an active military base, the Arsenal is as demanding of excellence even more so than its inhabitants. The ball must be struck pure and of considerable distance of the tee. While located on an Army base, "Army Golf" will most certainly not work here. It is a fantastic walk with amazing views of the Mississippi River. But you must abide by military traditions. If there is a funeral procession honoring fallen heroes, you stand still along the road and pay your respects, and when colors is being sounded, you do the same.The course is a stern test of golf and you must hit it straight. Greens give you a chance to score if you are on the right side of the hole, or you hope for a two putt to minimize the damages. I hope it comes back and If I have my way, it will.

Clubhouse is getting tired, but still impressive. Course plays well with some nice, tight holes.
