What the club says: The Sawgrass Oceanside Course (East-West) gained its reputation as the home of THE PLAYERS CHAMPIONSHIP of The PGA TOUR from 1977 to 1981 when the course, along with the treacherous March winds, tested the greatest players in the game (see History). The par-72 East-West course has an array of spectacular golf holes, most notably the daunting par 5, East No. 4 with a tantalizing peek at the ocean as you make your way from the green to the next tee. And the par 3, West No. 6 (our signature hole) presents a panoramic view of one of the larger lakes on the course, a portion of which must be negotiated on the tee shot. In 1984, the third masterpiece nine, known as the "South course," designed again by Ed Seay, was added. If the tightness presented by nature's pines and palms do not provide enough challenge, the Bermuda rough, strategically placed water hazards and consistently guarded greens will.
The 27 holes—three different rotations—along with five different tee boxes (Gold, Blue, White, Green, and Red) provide a fair and varied test of golf for the full spectrum and diversity of our Member's abilities and ambitions.

Amazing to get to play here, TPC Sawgrass, what a course. Loved it. Weather was 40 degrees C and a tough challenge, but WOW.
