Reviewed Aug 30 2017 by Mark P - rated 3 out of 5
A course of two halves, the front nine plays up and down a creek with a consequence that if you are a fader it plays harder and I generally don't lose many balls, but lost 5 in the round at Avila. The back nine is a different challenge along the valley into the resort, with a couple of drives over water, the eighteenth being a reasonable carry to make and a couple of approaches over water. Overall I enjoyed the round although I didn't play particularly well and it was a slow round of just under 5 hours, which I understand is pretty standard for weekend play in the area.
