What The Club Says

The first of two 18-hole golf courses extends itself in a spectacular location on the coast of the eastern Algarve, known locally as "Sotavento". Quinta da Ria, situated in the Ria Formosa Nature Reserve, has already been described by experienced golfers as the most breathtaking golf course in the Region. In fact, there will be no houses, or villas, or apartments to distract you from your game: just you and nature. And, please, "Don't let the view spoil your golf either!" . The other 18-hole golf course - Quinta de Cima - is also available. Together with Quinta da Ria, this new 36-hole parkland golf complex will be a must in the eastern Algarve: it is not possible to hide it any longer!

This course is tough and even more so when the wind blows it's a Seve designed course with 6 par 3's, 6 par 4's and 6 par 5's
The front 9 is quite flat with loads of water hazards to negotiate while the back 9 is mor elevated.

A really well kept parkland links type of course with a few water hazards but playable at any reasonable level as long as you recognise your own ability. Great greens, and fairways, the best bunkers I have ever played in, sugar sand and not too deep. Great sea views.

Fantastic

Wonderful course, well kept and made the holiday, there is a small shop on the main road up the track after the 12th or 13th which is worth the run for some superbocks!

The Algarve has so many lovely courses but this is one of the finest. Scenically, it is pretty exquisite but to focus on the golf, it is a real test and keeps you thinking on every hole. Do play here if you can!
