Truly amazing

Golf at Royal Westmoreland is fantastic, it is faultless in every way. I had the joy of playing golf with my family and the captain of the West Indies.

My Personal Favourite

Althought not in A1 condition at the time of playing, this course is very challenging especially the par 3's always leave me wanting more after I've played it even if it got the better of me on the day.

overpriced and disappointing

At US$200 for a round of golf you expect something special, regretfully this wasn't delivered. While the layout of the course is varied and interesting with some very challenging holes, the overall experience was very poor.
This starts with the very limited tee-time availability for a visitor with only an hour a day available between 10-11am.
No breakfast service available on arrival other than the 'half-way' house which didn't take cash and therefore the need to use a credit card for a couple of coffees.
No sat-nav with the buggies or even a garmin device.

Ok so all 1st-world problems so far, but the kicker was the very poor condition of the greens and tee-boxes through-out especially the 1st nine.

A positive was that the course was well marshalled to ensure an appropriate the pace of play was maintained.

So while potentially a great day-out in Barbados, the overview was that we were short-changed by the experience.

This is one of my all time favourite courses, very strong par 3's you need to have your A game.

Wonderful course with spectacular views and great true running greens. Immaculate but you need to place the ball to have the best chance of scoring well.

I have just returned from Barbados staying at the Royal West Moreland resort. The course and facilities are simply quite excellent from the moment that you drop your bag at the entrance through finding your buggy replete with towels, tees, course planner etc and then on to the course. The course itself is quite beautiful with very well kept fairways and challenging greens - and a view of the Carribean Sea on most holes. Some of the par 3s are stunning with challenging tee shots over ravines. The 18th is perhaps the signature hole with a challenging drive to avoid the ravine on the right and then a tempting 2nd shot over the ravine to reach the green. All in all a great value round of golf. As a resident of the resort the green fee was £55 which is great value compared to some courses with similar green fees in the UK.
