This is one of several courses contained in the premium Casa de Campo resort in the Dominican Republic. It is gernerally overshadowed by the more famous and spectacular Teeth of the Dog course. Having played both in May, 2016, I would rate Dye Fore superior as a general test of golf. The ocean holes on Teeth of the Dog are incomparable, but the inland holes do not match the challenge of the Dye Fore layout. Pete Dye has you hitting over ravines requiring close to 200 m carry to put your drive on the fairway, and the ninth on the Chavon loop is a wonderful, sweeping par 5 with a smallish green perched on a hillside. The course is in fantastic condition and is a joy to play, even as a high handicapper. If you get the chance, go there and play both courses - you will love both of them.
