What the club says: Emirates Golf Club sports two championship courses, a friendly yet testing 9 hole Par-3 course, the Emirates Golf Academy, numerous practice facilities and two driving ranges.
Majlis Course - The flagship course at Emirates Golf Club, The Majlis championship course is a challenging par 72, 7,301-yard layout. Sculptured around the original tall desert dunes in 1987, The Majlis was the first grass course in the Middle East and takes its name from the Arabic word for 'meeting place'.
The Faldo - Emirates Golf Club's second championship golf course was opened in 1996 and was christened The 'Wadi', taken from the Arabic word for 'valley'.

Bucket list
Very lucky to play this course. Have wanted to for a long time and it was awesome. Sadly my golf wasn't good on the day, but the company and location was 1010Reviewer Rating

Always love playing here
Super friendly club, all welcome. Great range and warm up facilities. Course is in great shape, greens are firm but not ridiculously fast. Very much enjouyed my two rounds, Night golf was particularly tough - i would only recommend putting lights on both sides of tee boxes and often you're teeing off in your own shadow.Reviewer Rating

Water hazards
Very professional welcome and organised. Complimentary range facilities although at night it was difficult to see the balls landing. I am 15 handicap and found the course very challenging. I didn't play well but judging distance was difficult. Although there was course planner on the buggy I found it a challenge to aim correctly. It may have been easier in daylight. We paid ?40 for a 9pm tee off time for 9 holes which was pricey but also an unforgettable experience. Just wish I had played better.Reviewer Rating

First Round back after Lockdown
After the recent Lock-down this was my first round of golf since mid-March.....with the changes in rules in England over COVID-19 we are now allowed to play golf again!!!! So this was a great place to start again as my own course, Costessey Park in Norwich is still closed....Reviewer Rating

Faldo during Covid-19
Played the Faldo at Emirates Golf Club on Friday 15 May 2020 at 8.15am. The Club are restricting groups to 3 balls, with individual buggies during the current covid-19 situation. The Club is taking as many precautions as possible to allow players to enjoy their games. This includes temperature checks on arrival, players are asked to wear masks, and the showers are closed. Locker areas are open though. Out on the course there is instruction to not touch flag poles, and rakes have been removed from bunkers. Generally though this doesn't impact play, and the course is in great condition. Greens were running very quick on Friday morning. I'll certainly be heading back, but I was expecting a reduced green fee due to the reduced facilities. It's still expensive here. All in all a good experience.Reviewer Rating

Course is good and enjoyable in a really small space. No fairways between tee box and green, just sand so you have to get the distances right.
Enjoyable round

Faldo course - a Proper test of golf
I've been so lucky to play both courses this week and I can tell you the Majlis is easier! I played the Faldo 6 years ago in the blazing heat and found it tough. Today I played it late afternoon for the first nine and under floodlights for the back nine. Scored much better on back nine (15 points v 9!) though reading putts under the floodlights is not easy and i dare say the back nine is bit less hazardous. The front nine is really hard. Lots of long drives over water or sandy wasteland (wadis). So don't listen to folks who say play Majlis because 'it is better than Faldo' - yes it is more iconic - but I think they don't like to admit Faldo is actually harder!
I got it Faldo green fee for £125 today (includes buggy and range balls) whereas the Majlis is £200 (but i got it for £130 playing with a member) .....I'd say both courses have to be played to be appreciated!
Faldo course: I'm 14 handicap ...shot 98 (3 blobs on front nine....says it all!)

Wow!
Fabulous course! Played with a member which made it cheaper (600 dirhams so about £120). and I'd say worth every penny! There are so many great holes...not just the iconic 8th and 18th. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Awe inspiring. All staff were incredibly nice...taking care of your clubs, organising your taxis home etc. Marshall even noticed we were wilting walking in the relatively cool 30 degrees so brought us a buggy for the last 6 (where in England would that happen?).....Makes you feel like royalty. Although I've played the Faldo about 6 years ago the Majlis is a bit special! Shot 93, so +21 for a 14 handicapper and I was quite happy with that!PS if you are peckish after - go to the club house and order chicken curry on chips! Absolute delight
PPS round took only 4 hours and that included me stopping to take photo on EVERY hole

Dramatic course particularly under the floodlights
1st time playing under floodlights, choosing a tough course with a beautiful backdrop of the Dubai skyline. Great fun although don't be a twit and leave your regular glasses in the clubhouse, sunnies don't work in twilight or under lights(Round played: Apr 2018 - Score: 107 Handicap: 21.4)
