Being in North Africa all fairways and rough is sand based so there is a premium on hitting a clean strike. La Mer is the most difficult of the 3 available 9's, wind giving it a links feel. I managed two birdies on the day (16 HCP) so the course could be tougher, but for a holiday round it's still a good test.

Played the course Palmiers / Ocean in the summer of 2012. One of my worst golfing experiences but they told me it wasn't the golf season in July and August...
You can lose your ball in the middle of the fairway... due to bad weeds. Litter alongside some holes bordering the motorway. The ocean course was quite ok with its links appearence. But that's it. No exotic feeling, no fun, no place to be.
Incredibly hot but... no shower !
