Beautiful but tricky

A beautiful but very tricky course. Tough bunkers that seem to trap every shot. The greens are very fast and exceptionally well guarded by sand. There is a lot of run off the fairways onto gravel and sand in the scrub land, which makes recovery shots very difficult and mark your clubs accordingly. For all that said a fantastic course in cracking surroundings, a well stocked shop, large clubhouse and welcoming staff. Looking forward to tackling it again.

Challenging Course

Green side bunkers have been improved with addition of decent sand but could be better if stones are removed. Fairways ok considering how dry it is. All water holes very low.
Having said that this is a lovely course and will challenge all levels.

Disappointing

A wide open course ideal for a Society outing but offering little in the way of a real challenge other than its length, playing almost 7000 yds off Yellows and 6550 yds off Blue.

It is not particularly picturesque and few of the holes grab your attention although 8 and 12 both Par 3s over water might intimidate the higher handicapper. There are lots of bunkers and these are best avoided if only to protect your wedge - they are course sand with tiny stones. (Although whilst there they were on replacing some with a much finer sand)

With the yardages, the distance between holes and a smattering of members with no etiquette expect a 5hour round....so take plenty of water.

There is one other matter over which the management have no control, the whole development is surrounded by Pig Farms...some very large scale, and with the breeze in the wrong direction....say no more.

The Club House is fantastic, the staff helpful and friendly.

Oh what a shame

This could be quite a "desert" course but is let down by very poor/bare fairways and has clearly suffered from lack of water. The bunkers are basically grit. Long walks between holes so a buggy is recommended, expect a 4.5 hour round minimum.

Needs Maintenance

Lovely course with great scenery. Very dry when I played so lots of bare patches on fairways. Lakes nearly empty but I am sure this will improve with rain. The course has the potential to be great. It just needs a real push to get it up to a championship course. Obviously this takes money but in order to attract people and get top reviews they need to go through the pain.
Sadie? in the pro shop is great and very helpful.

Great clubhouse that exudes class but course a disappoitment. Wide open fairways and huge greens that spread around from the low density housing giving a good sense of space.\But formulaic holes with nothing memorable and average greens. Most disappointing was the sad empty lakes and general scruffiness of the tees and fairways. It would be easy to tidy up but clearly financially less attractive to fill the lakes.
For a course that has pretensions it needs to up its game

Nice course, interesting holes but a lot of bare and patchy areas around the fairways and greens, Felt like a cross between an unfinished complex and a building site in places. Little or no water in the hazards probably due to time of year but this just added to the whole unfinished feel.Clubhouse after the round had no hot water and no staff behind the bar. One girl who was struggling to deal with 5 tables. Food took a long time and the steaks were cooked poorly and of poor quality(alot of grissle, fat and sinew). Would recommend but better courses available

Played this course many times and its fantastic.
The clubhouse is not overly priced as others have suggested....it does offer cheaper options than a few years ago.
The golf prices are a little pricey and would probably benefit from more players if prices were slightly cheaper.
The resort itself is great and getting busier....I cant wait until the new airport opens as this will mean a 15 minute journey from the airport and I could potentially be playing golf withan an hour of landing !! perfect !!
Golfers 5* paradise
