What the club says: Surrounded by trees and lakes, pine groves and Mediterranean flora. The course has well-kept fairways and an excellent design of the course made for the most demanding players.
Poniente golf first opened its doors in 1978.
The course was designed by John Harris.
It is a large course and has a grade of difficulty in its 18 holes.
Players will enjoy starting from white, yellow, blue and red tees. The course is designed to satisfy the most demanding players.

Having played this course when it was poniente it was tired and in poor condition, all aspects gave been vastly improved and we played for old memories of now departed golfers we played with numerous years ago, unfortunately this improvements have come with very steep course fees meaning we have discounted this course from future selection

For all levels
Course was in good condition, you can see all the trouble. Sand was in excellent condition. Fairways a bit tight, no rough but tree lined. Lovely views to the mountains. Clubhouse restaurant good.Reviewer Rating

Money well spent
A lot of money has been spent here, Greens, buggy paths, layout etc and it's beneficial to all. Great course, plenty of challenges and some great views.Reviewer Rating

Golf trip
A tricky short course greens ok you need a buggy it’s very hilly and some long walks in between greens to tees(Round played: Jun 2019 - Score: 71 Handicap: 8)

A good find
Despite there being no parking or clubhouse available, a lovely course close to Magaluf(Round played: Mar 2019 - Score: 83 Handicap: 14.1)

Excellent following recent upgrades
After being closed for over a year the new owners have done an excellent job on the re-design and renovations - Poniente was looking a bit tired but a lot of money has been spent on improving the course and the layout. I played in October '18 and the tees, greens and fairways were all in fantastic condition. The only negative was that there was still work going on around the course and the practice area wasn't open - once its fully finished it will be in the top 3 courses on the island.Reviewer Rating

Very playable course with great scenery. Beware of the rough though, hit it off line and chances are you aren't finding it. I think with my own clubs (particularly driver and hybrid I could have score very well here. Some very drivable greens with a proper club set rather than something rescue from a charity shop ib the 80's.
